East Side Stories: Portraits of a Baltimore Neighborhood, Then and Now
Extended Until August 16
This exhibition of more than 100 photographs offers both a historic view of Baltimore’s East Side, and a modern focus on “Middle East” Baltimore, Belair-Edison in the northeast, and Latino communities in the city's southeast. The featured photographers are Ken Royster, Elizabeth Barbush of Art on Purpose, Ellis L. Marsalis, III, and Michela Caudill.

Joe Gans: A Biography of the First African American World Boxing Champion with Colleen Aycock
Join historian Colleen Aycock, co-author of the first comprehensive biography of world-renowned boxer Joe Gans. A native of Baltimore, Gans is credited as one of the earliest practitioners of “scientific boxing.” Many boxing experts rank him as one of the best lightweights of all time. History Workshop: Genealogy for Kids

Children will interpret family records and artifacts, and create their family tree with fun games and activities. Recommended for ages 8 and up. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to participate.

This exhibition offers a gripping account of the men and women whose non-violent approach to political and social change matured into a weapon of equality for all.

381 Days: The Montgomery Bus Boycott Story was developed and organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service in collaboration with the Troy University Rosa Parks Library and Museum. This exhibition has been made possible through the generous support of AARP.
