The Museum is inviting Maryland students to participate in the 2nd Annual High School Regional Art Show. Winners will have their art showcased in the Museum’s Community Gallery and the publication, Journeys. This year’s show will be inspired by the exhibition, From Process to Print: Graphic Works by Romare Bearden. Bearden helped establish Spiral, an artists group interested in the civil rights movement that focused on the “the role of artist in social change”. For this year’s theme, students will create art work that documents social issues which concerns them and requires action, advocacy or change. Student art submissions can include collage, photomontage, prints, drawings and paintings. This art exhibition is in partnership with the Maryland State Education Association (MESA).
